About The Parks Fresh Produce & Pizzeria
As a family run business we have a passion for food and entertaining. When coming to The Parks we want you to feel that you are in our home enjoying a delicious Italian meal.
Adriaan started with the hydroponic farming in 2012 and it was a natural progression to open the pizzeria side, using the ingredients we’ve grown supplied to the pizzeria. What started with an 80 seater restaurant has now grown to a 350 seater restaurant.
Nonna Luisa – Paola’s mom has been an integral part of the restaurant from its conception. She has been responsible for the training of the kitchen staff and most of the recipes are Nonna’s. She often pops in now and again to make sure that everything is still made with the highest standards. Nonna Luisa was born in Padova Italy in 1941. She came over to South Africa in 1968 and has been living here ever since.She has a love of cooking and has stayed true to her Italian heritage.
Paola conceptualised the layout of the playground around her two kids who were little then. We wanted a restaurant where you could sit back and relax and not have to worry about keeping an eye on your children. I think we have achieved this as kids have endless fun at The Parks.
We have grown from strength to strength with the support of our loyal customers and of course our amazing Parks Team.
The Parks has been our baby and we have watched it grow each year. We love watching people creating memories at The Parks from birthdays, baptisms, bridal showers and engagements. We feel honoured that we have been part of those memories.
We are passionate about what we serve. If you have been to us before you will know that we do not
hold back on portion sizes and we only use top quality ingredients.
We cannot believe that we have been operational for 10 years already. Here is to the next 10
years!!
