Adriaan & Paola van Zyl
As a family-run business, we have a deep passion for food and entertaining. When you visit The Parks, we want you to feel like you’re in our home—enjoying a delicious Italian meal made with love and care.

Adriaan began hydroponic farming back in 2012, and it felt like a natural next step to open the pizzeria, using the fresh ingredients we grow ourselves. What started as a humble 80-seater restaurant has since grown into a vibrant 350-seater space, thanks to our wonderful community and team.

Nonna Luisa—Paola’s mom—has been at the heart of the restaurant since the very beginning. She trained the kitchen team and created most of the recipes you know and love today. Born in Padova, Italy in 1941, Nonna moved to South Africa in 1968 and brought with her a lifelong love of cooking. She still pops in now and then to make sure everything is being done the proper Italian way—just like she taught us.

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​The playground? That’s all thanks to Paola. She designed it around her two little ones at the time, with the dream of creating a place where families could relax while their kids play safely and freely. Judging by the laughter and energy, we think we got it just right.

We’ve grown from strength to strength over the years, supported by our loyal customers and our incredible Parks Team. The Parks has truly been our baby, and it’s been such a joy to watch it grow. We’ve loved being part of your special moments—birthdays, baptisms, bridal showers, engagements—and we feel honoured every time you choose to celebrate with us.

We’re passionate about every plate we serve. If you’ve dined with us before, you’ll know we don’t hold back when it comes to portion sizes, and we only use the best ingredients. Quality and generosity are part of who we are.
