SPRING ONION

Also known as shallots and scallions this hollow leafed vegetable has a relatively mild onion flavour. Spring Onions are often used in salads, but are also used as an ingredient in the foods of many cultures. Though related to the common onion, this plant doesn’t form a bulb when mature.

BRINJALS

The Brinjal is also called aubergine and is very low in calories and fats, but rich in soluble fibre. It may be effective to control high blood pressure and cholesterol. The high levels of anti-oxidants in Egg Plant help to reduce inflammation and fight cancer and ageing.

FRESH HERBS

Fresh herbs contain more antioxidants – substances that fight cancer and heart disease – than some fruit and vegetables. Many herbs have medicinal uses, in fact, humans have been using herbs for food, medicine and cosmetics since prehistoric times.

  • rosa tomatos

  • tomato

  • lettuce packs

  • gem squash

  • butternut

  • baby marrow

  • cucumbers

  • celery

  • spinach

  • parsley

  • rosemary

  • bay leaves.

Our vegetables are grown locally and are seasonal, so please contact us for availability.

CUCUMBERS

Ever wonder how to beat the scorching summer heat? Just remember your humble crunchy cucumber! Cucumbers are thought to originate in India. This wonderful low calorie vegetable has more nutrients to offer than just water and electrolytes. Crisp, moist and delicious!

KALE

There are many varieties of Kale. It freezes well and being exposed to frost will actually improve the flavour. High in vitamin C and with cancer fighting properties this vegetable can actually reduce the amount of dietary fat you absorb. Minced, steamed and mixed with mashed potato, magnificent.
